Our advisory services focus on a few areas that are priorities for the IDB Group and where we believe we can bring the most value.

Climate action is one of these. We help our clients think through the potential impacts of climate change on their industry and better position themselves to mitigate risks, increase resilience, operate more sustainably and identify new markets and business opportunities.

Like climate, gender affects every sector in every country. We strive to expand financing for women entrepreneurs and support companies’ efforts to create fair, diverse workplaces that can tap into the full potential of all employees, women and men alike.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) make up a significant share of the region’s economy, so we want to foster an environment in which they can thrive. We work with financial intermediaries to expand access to financing and business training, to enable their MSME clients to become more sustainable and profitable.

At a time of government funding constraints and high infrastructure demand, more and more projects are candidates for public-private partnerships. We help government agencies analyze risks and structure arrangements that will attract private investment. As in our other areas of focus, we also advise on how to make projects inclusive and sustainable so that they will make a bigger contribution to development.
