Project scope and objective
The proposed transaction involves granting Atento a revolving credit line of up to US$50 million (US$43 million of which are committed and the other US$7 million are not) with a five-year tenor. The financing operation is aimed at funding Atento’s working capital and the capital investments needed to grow its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) operation in 11 member countries of IDB Invest.
Atento is the largest provider of management solutions and services for customer relations and business process outsourcing (CRM/BPO) in Latin America and is among the top five providers globally in terms of revenue. Atento has more than 140,000 employees. At present, the company is implementing methods of automation and digitization of processes that will ensure an optimization of its processes and offer nearshoring services.

Environmental and social review
IDB Invest conducts an environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) commensurate with the nature, scale, and stage of the project, and with its level of environmental and social risks and impacts. The ESDD will confirm the project E&S categorization and assess the project with respect to the client requirements in IDB Invest Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy. The results of the ESDD, including any identified gaps are described in the Environmental and Social Review Summary (ESRS) provided below. For projects approved as of 2016, any gaps with respect to IDB Invest's Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy at the time of the ESDD are addressed in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) presented below, to comply with the date mentioned above.
