IDB Invest Management has adopted the “IDB Invest Principles for Responsible Exit.” IDB Invest Responsible Exit Principles aim to: (i) increase the likelihood of maintaining or achieving development outcomes; and (ii) mitigate the risks of additional or unintended environmental and social risks and negative impacts as part of the exit process.
This approach builds on IDB Invest Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy by strengthening the analysis of environmental and social management throughout the project cycle, including at the point of exit.
IDB Invest will be testing these principles for 24 months. These principles will apply when IDB Invest proactively and voluntarily decides to exit an investment. The principles are not prescriptive in nature. Application of the responsible exit principles will be determined on a case-by-case basis reflecting and taking into consideration the specific requirements in relation to the relevant exit.
