Project scope and objective
El financiamiento propuesto a Naturasol S.A. de C.V. y Mielmex S.A. de C.V. (conjuntamente los “Prestatarios” o la “Compañía”), procesadora de alimentos mexicana que crece a un ritmo acelerado y el mayor exportador de miel del país, consiste en un financiamiento de hasta US$70 millones (el “Financiamiento”), compuesto de la siguiente manera: (i) un préstamo senior garantizado A/B de hasta US$45 millones, hasta US$25 millones de BID Invest y hasta US$20 millones de terceros (el “Préstamo de Largo Plazo” ); y (ii) un préstamo revolvente multi-moneda no comprometido de hasta US$25 millones (el “Préstamo Revolvente”). Los fondos del Financiamiento se utilizarán para financiar gastos de capital y necesidades de capital de trabajo de la Compañía, relacionados con una expansión y mejora de sus operaciones en México, mientras que a su vez reduce su huella de carbono (el “Proyecto”).
Los objetivos de desarrollo del Proyecto son: (i) promover el crecimiento y la productividad local; y (ii) brindar oportunidades de generación de ingresos a empleados y proveedores locales, incluyendo proveedores micro, pequeños y medianos agrícolas en la cadena de valor de la Compañía.

Environmental and social review
IDB Invest conducts an environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) commensurate with the nature, scale, and stage of the project, and with its level of environmental and social risks and impacts. The ESDD will confirm the project E&S categorization and assess the project with respect to the client requirements in IDB Invest Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy. The results of the ESDD, including any identified gaps are described in the Environmental and Social Review Summary (ESRS) provided below. For projects approved as of 2016, any gaps with respect to IDB Invest's Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy at the time of the ESDD are addressed in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) presented below, to comply with the date mentioned above.
