Project scope and objective

IAMSA produces and markets canned and Tetra-Brik packed fruit and vegetables under the Alco and Canale labels, among others. The Company, which started out as a small fruit and vegetable farm in Mendoza in 1958, is now one of the largest producers of canned fruit and tomatoes in Argentina.

The proposed IIC loan will be used for improving the Company’s debt maturity profile and financing the permanent working capital the Company needs as it grows. With this project, the IIC will (i) support one of the major sources of jobs in Mendoza Province; and (ii) support the sustainability of a supply chain made up of more than 200 longstanding small primary producers of fruit and tomatoes throughout the country, who supply IAMSA with a large percentage of the raw material it needs each season.
