  • IDB Invest's Sustainability Week attracts CEOs, officials, and specialists worldwide to generate concrete actions from the private sector

MANAUS, Brazil - The Brazilian city of Manaus hosts IDB Invest's Sustainability Week 2024, a global platform for sustainable business. In addition to inspiring action and facilitating knowledge exchange, the event seeks to unite global and regional leaders in co-creating viable solutions for the Amazon, the region, and the planet.

The hybrid meeting will bring together more than 800 global leaders in person in Manaus (Brazil) and more than 10,000 participants virtually. Latin America and the Caribbean face significant challenges, such as climate change, poverty, and inequality. However, it also has the potential to contribute to solving critical global challenges such as food insecurity, the energy transition, and environmental services.

"That's why, during this Sustainability Week, we are starting this movement to scale impact. We have brought together people who take action, experts, and impact creators to generate solutions and advance one of the most urgent challenges of our time."

During the three days, attendees will discuss topics of Impact Investment, Climate Change, Amazon, Inclusion, and Bioeconomy, highlighting the commitment of the IDB Group, its partners, stakeholders, clients, and investors to co-create impact in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the role of the private sector as a driver of sustainable growth.
