IDB Invest and Factotal Peru Join Forces to Strengthen Support for MSMEs in Peru

IDB Invest has provided up to $18 million in financing to Factotal Perú S.A. to boost financial inclusion in the country. The financial package includes a $5 million loan from IDB Invest, with a tenor of up to three years, and up to an additional $13 million that will be mobilized with institutional investors.
The financing will support the factoring operations that Factotal Peru carries out with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Peru, thus contributing to increasing access to financing for MSMEs and supporting Factotal Peru in the strategy of expanding its factoring portfolio.
Factoring has become a key financial tool for MSMEs in Peru, as it allows them to access liquidity immediately, improves their cash flow and reduces their operational burden. In a context where traditional financing can be limited, factoring is presented as an effective solution to overcome financial challenges and promote sustainable growth.
This deal is expected to contribute to two United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9).
