Hilen Meirovich is the Managing Director of Climate and Environment at IDB Invest. Hilen has over 20 years of experience in climate finance, sustainable infrastructure, and environmental finance, with roles at IDB and IDB Invest. Under her leadership, IDB Invest expanded its advisory services, quadrupling climate-related transactions, and building a climate finance portfolio of over $16 billion. Her leadership included spearheading innovative financing mechanisms, such as the development of the world's first biodiversity bond and of Latin America and the Caribbean's first blue bond. She has also contributed to positioning IDB Invest as a leader across MDBs and other international actors. Hilen is a Professorial Lecturer at George Washington University and is a frequent speaker at global forums. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Georgetown University, an MA in Public Policy from Georgetown University, and an MA in Political Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
