Hiring Process
How does our recruitment process work?
All of our positions are competitive. You would have to go through a formal recruitment process to work with us. This allows us to assess the best candidates in a very competitive market.
Our process is comprised of three steps:
Application
Complete the online form through our system and upload your CV in English or Spanish. You do not need to upload a Cover Letter unless the position indicates it.
Pro tips:
- Read the job posting carefully and make sure you have the requirements.
- Make sure your CV aligns with the profile we are looking for, edit it, if necessary.
- And more importantly, keep it short. We receive a lot of applications. Work on compelling and straightforward messages!
Assessment
If your CV matches our search, we will be reaching out to invite you to participate in this process. If we do not contact you, this indicates that you were not selected to continue with the hiring process.
This phase might vary depending on the position, but you can expect to have a technical assessment, where we can evaluate your skills; and have a formal panel interview comprised of our IDB Invest colleagues.
Pro tips:
- If we send you a technical test, read it carefully and do not shy away from asking questions if needed. Follow instructions and submit it on time!
- Prepare for your interview! Practice with colleagues or friends. We know interviewing might be nerve-wracking, but we will try to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
- During the interview, be yourself! Make sure to show your personality and be clear and concise in your answers; this would help the panel follow you better.
Final Decision
We take recruitment processes very seriously, which is why it may take a while for you to receive an answer from us. We will provide you with an estimated timeline to communicate the final decision.
Pro tips:
- You can always reach out to your HR point of contact for updates. They will share the status of the process, even though they might not have an answer yet.
- If you were not selected for the position, ask for feedback, and do not get discouraged. We always have new openings and encourage you to apply again.
