Viviana Alva Hart

Viviana is the IDB Group Representative in Argentina, where she leads the Group's strategy in the country and coordinates the work of IDB, IDB Invest, and IDB Lab. She oversees the Group's engagement with the public and private sectors, with a focus on mobilizing investment and supporting sustainable growth. Viviana has more than 20 years of experience in international development and development finance across Latin America and the Caribbean, combining leadership roles with extensive experience designing and implementing development programs. She holds a master's degree in Public Administration from the Instituto Ortega y Gasset and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a degree in Agricultural Sciences and Zootechnics from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina.
