María Cecilia Deza

María Cecilia Deza is a senior economist in the Country Department for Central America, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Previously, she was a regional economist in the Andean Countries Department and a consultant in the IDB's Fiscal Management Division. Before joining the IDB, she worked as an economist at BBVA Bank in Peru and the same country's Ministry of Economy and Finance. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, an M.A. in Public Administration from Columbia University, and an M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland.
