Federico is an Investment Officer, Infrastructure at IDB Invest, which he joined in 2009. He is responsible for originating and structuring financing for toll roads, mass transportation projects, ports, wind farms, geothermal and solar projects in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Panama and Peru. He has led one-of-a-kind financing transactions that were awarded as Deals of the Year by IJ Global and Project Finance International. Before joining the IDB Group, Federico worked on the project finance team of BNP Paribas in Milan, Italy. Federico has extensive experience on infrastructure and renewable energy investments. Federico earned a Master of Science in Management from the Bocconi University in Milan (Italy), and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Milan (Italy).
Policy makers are aware of the importance of cutting down on CO2, manufacturers are rolling over new electric buses and private sector investors have appetite to invest in this sector, as demonstrated by recent tenders in Bogotá and Santiago. But there are still road-blocks ahead of a massive roll-out of electric buses.
