O investimento proposto (o "Projeto") envolve a subscrição de um título sênior de três anos dividido em duas séries (uma verde e uma social) emitidas pelo Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A., atuando por meio de sua Filial em Grand Cayman (“Itaú” ou o “Banco”) no âmbito de seu Programa Global de Notas de Médio Prazo (“MTN”, na sigla em inglês). O título foi objeto de uma colocação privada e posteriormente listada na Bolsa de Valores de Luxemburgo. O valor total da emissão foi de US$250 milhões, com a Corporação Financeira Internacional (“IFC”) subscrevendo US$200 milhões e mobilizando o BID Invest para subscrever o saldo de US$50 milhões. O título também foi emitido no âmbito do Quadro de Sustentabilidade do Itaú, apoiando o programa de empréstimos do Banco para projetos de biodiversidade relacionados com o Programa Reverte e Pequenas e Médias Empresas (“PMEs”), com uma parcela reservada para apoiar PMEs no Rio Grande do Sul, como contribuição para a recuperação do desastre que afetou o estado.
