Milagros Rivas Saiz

Milagros serves as Managing Director of Economic Opportunities and Digital Transformation at IDB Invest. Her responsibilities include guiding private companies in the development of innovative strategies and projects that adhere to the highest sustainability standards while opening markets for private sector investments.

Prior to joining IDB, Milagros held key positions at the World Bank Group, where she served as the Head of Strategy and later as the Global Head of Advisory Services at the International Finance Corporation. Before that, she was a member of the Executive Committee at Acciona Energía, where she held various senior management roles focused on strategy, innovation and sustainability. Milagros also brings extensive consulting experience from her tenure at McKinsey & Co., where she made significant contributions to the energy sector.

Milagros is actively involved in global initiatives and serves as a member of the Global Future Council on Energy Transition within the World Economic Forum's Ideas Lab. She holds a master's degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).
