Project scope and objective
O Smart Hospital (o “Projeto”) é uma Parceria Público-Privada (PPP) voltada para a modernização e prestação de serviços de operação e manutenção do Complexo Hospitalar Souza Aguiar, a maior unidade de emergência da cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
Atualmente, o Projeto atende ao sistema público de saúde do Brasil e inclui 551 leitos, salas de cirurgia, unidade de terapia intensiva, consultórios médicos, pronto-socorro e uma ampla gama de exames laboratoriais e de imagem. O CAPEX do Projeto envolve a modernização completa dos edifícios existentes do complexo, a aquisição de novos equipamentos e a construção de um novo edifício de estacionamento.
Espera-se que a BID Invest financie até 33% do CAPEX do Projeto por meio de um empréstimo de até BRL 161.000.000, com prazo de até 20 anos e carência de até 3,5 anos. Dada o ineditismo desta estrutura de PPP hospitalar, a participação da BID Invest é fundamental para (i) fechar a lacuna de financiamento e (ii) potencialmente oferecer maior confiança a outros financiadores.
