Project scope and objective
La transacción consiste en una línea no comprometida revolvente de factoraje inverso (la “Transacción) a ser provista por BID Invest a Tiendas Industriales Asociadas TÍA S.A. en Ecuador (“Tiendas TÍA” o la “Compañía”). BID Invest podrá, a su sola discreción: comprar y descontar derechos de crédito de proveedores pagaderos por Tiendas TÍA, previamente confirmados por este último, a través de una plataforma electrónica elegible.
La Compañía se constituyó en Guayaquil, Ecuador, en 1959. Desde entonces ha ido expandiéndose a todo el país, contando a la fecha con 242 locales (158 en la Costa, 73 en la Sierra y 11 en la Amazonia) y más de ocho mil colaboradores. La actividad principal de la Compañía es la venta al por mayor y menor de alimentos, ropa y mercadería en general, a través de sus tiendas bajo la marca comercial “Tía”, y con un enfoque en servir a clientes de la base de la pirámide.
Mediante la Transacción, BID Invest busca facilitar financiamiento en condiciones competitivas a los proveedores, en su mayoría Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas ("MIPYMES"), de Tiendas TIA en Ecuador, a través del descuento o monetización de sus derechos crediticios derivados de la venta de bienes y / o servicios a Tiendas TIA.
